About The Aldie Mansion
Aldie Mansion began its history as a beloved private residence. Commissioned by William and Martha Mercer as an ode to the English Tudor manor, this stately 1927 mansion evokes a time in America when craftsmanship reached an art form. Under the watchful gaze of the Aldie gargoyles, intricate brickwork, vintage leaded glass, antique tiles and charming garden ornaments have been faithfully preserved as part of Bucks County’s unique heritage. In fact, William Mercer himself sculpted many of the mansion’s architectural details. The Mercers were renowned hosts during their years at Aldie, and they regularly welcomed international luminaries into their home. As you stroll about, it is easy to recall the spirited evenings when Groucho Marx joked at the dinner table, Isadora Duncan pirouetted in the garden and the Von Trapp family caroled in the Great Hall. An invitation to Aldie meant the anticipation of an affair to remember. Today, through the preservation efforts of Heritage Conservancy, Aldie Mansion extends its legacy of grandeur and hospitality to you.
Attire
Semi-formal dress is requested; suits for gentlemen, equivalent for ladies.
Transportation
Arrangements for a shuttle bus to take attendees to the wedding and back at the end of the evening from The Hampton Inn (1570 Easton Rd., Warrington, PA) have been made. The shuttle bus will only be picking up and dropping off at The Hampton Inn. More information about the room block at The Hampton Inn.

From the Pennsylvania Turnpike
Exit at Willow Grove Interchange and take Route 611 North toward Doylestown. Approximately one mile past the Regal Barn Cinema, Route 611 North will bear left. Follow this to the Route 313 Dublin Exit, then turn right onto Route 313 East. Go to the second traffic light at Main Street and turn right. Go to the second traffic light and turn right onto Old Dublin Pike. The entrance to Aldie Mansion is 0.2 mile on the right.
From Route 202 (Heading West from New Jersey)
Take Route 202 West toward Doylestown. Turn right onto Route 313. Follow this for a couple of miles to Main Street. Turn left on Main Street toward Doylestown. Go to the second traffic light and turn right onto Old Dublin Pike. The entrance to Aldie Mansion is 0.2 mile on the right.
From Route 202 (Heading East from Norristown)
Take Route 202 East toward Doylestown. At Doylestown Hospital, take Route 611 North. Follow to the Route 313 Dublin exit, then turn right onto Route 313 East. Go to the traffic light and turn right onto Main Street. Go to the second traffic light and turn right onto Old Dublin Pike. The entrance to Aldie Mansion is 0.2 mile on the right.
